The Bog Baby

We read a really fun book today in class THE BOG BABY by Jeanne Willis and Gwen Millward
It is a fun story about two little girls who find a bog baby in a magic pond and try to keep him for a pet. It inspired us and some of the children in Room 3 wrote their own fun stories about bog babies!

Buddy Class Assembly

We proudly hosted the whole school assembly today and did a super job!

Cullen and Holly were the presenters.  They used loud clear voices and did a fantastic job.

Dylan from Room 11 did a super job running the technical side of things.

We have been busy making a book in our buddy class sessions.  It was making use of our Te Reo knowledge of Nga Tae (Colours) and Nga Tau (Numbers).  We read the book to the school.
The rest of the school enjoyed our assembly.  It was lots of fun.

We are getting closer...

Guess how many days we have been coming to school for now?

75
So that means there are only 25 more days until we make it to 100 days of school.
We are 3/4 of the way there.
We have 7 groups of sticks in our tens bag and 5 in our ones bag.
We have 75 ten cent pieces in our jar - that is $7.50
Our board is displaying 7 completed tens frames, and one with five on it.
Seventy Five is Whitu tekau ma rima.

We are getting excited about 100 days of school.  More to come as we get closer.

Kiwi and Tui Assembly

Today Room 3 hosted the Kiwi and Tui Assembly.  It was good practice as next week we will be hosting the WHOLE SCHOOL ASSEMBLY with our buddy class Room 11.

Today we shared our Two Little Dickie Birds nursery rhyme.  We shared our lovely art.  Look for it on our classroom walls next week!
